Seasons change

Allow me my time
To convince myself
I don’t need the leaves
True they had grown on me

Cold comes on with the
Calm of morning coffee
Two steps shy of crying out
I stay steeped in my own sort of
Static condition

Cessna sliced skies
Air so crisp it stings

We are filaments flickering fading on
